1. Introduction
RackReady LLC ("RackReady," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website and platform located at rackready.io (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, purchase access to our courses, or otherwise interact with the Platform.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Platform. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service, available at rackready.io/terms.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or interact with the Platform, you may provide:
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (stored in hashed form; we never have access to your
plaintext password)
- Any information you voluntarily include in support communications
2.2 Payment Information
When you purchase access to paid content, your payment is processed by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. RackReady does not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, or bank account information. Stripe may collect your payment card details, billing address, and other information necessary to process your transaction. Stripe's collection and use of your information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
We receive from Stripe only a transaction confirmation, the last four digits of your payment method, and the amount paid. This limited information is used for order fulfillment, customer support, and accounting purposes.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring URL (the page that directed you to our site)
- Date and time of access
This information is collected through server logs and, where applicable, analytics tools. It is used to maintain the security and performance of the Platform, understand usage patterns, and improve the user experience.
2.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Essential cookies: Required for the Platform to function, including session management and authentication. These cookies are necessary and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with the Platform, including page views, navigation patterns, and feature usage. We may use third-party analytics services such as Vercel Analytics or similar tools. These cookies help us improve the Platform but are not essential to its operation.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not serve ads on the Platform, and we do not allow third parties to place advertising cookies on our site.
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You may disable non-essential cookies, but doing so may affect your experience on the Platform. Essential cookies are required for authentication and cannot be disabled while using the Platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

- To provide access to course content based on your access level (free
or paid)
- To process payments and issue receipts
- To send transactional communications, including account
confirmations, purchase receipts, and password reset emails
- To send service-related communications, including updates to our
Terms of Service or Privacy Policy

- To monitor and enforce compliance with our Terms of Service,
including detection of account sharing or unauthorized access
- To maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Platform
- To analyze usage patterns and improve the Platform
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How We Share Your Information
RackReady does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to operate the Platform. These providers have access to your information only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it. Our current service providers include:

We may change service providers over time. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any material changes in the providers who have access to your personal information.
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event that RackReady is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, which uses cloud infrastructure hosted in the United States. Payment data is stored and processed by Stripe on their own secure infrastructure. RackReady does not maintain separate servers or physical data storage facilities.
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Passwords are stored using industry-standard cryptographic hashing
(never in plaintext)
- All data transmitted between your browser and the Platform is
encrypted using TLS (HTTPS)
- Database access is restricted through row-level security policies
- Administrative access to production systems is limited to authorized
personnel
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform and its services. Specifically:
- Account data (name, email, course progress) is retained for the life
of your account.
- Payment transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7)
years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- Server logs and analytics data are retained for up to twelve (12)
months, after which they are aggregated or deleted.
- Support communications are retained for up to twenty-four (24)
months after the last communication.
If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days, except for information we are required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Correction
You may access and update your account information at any time by logging into your account on the Platform. If you need to correct information that cannot be updated through your account settings, contact us at support@rackready.io.
7.2 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting support@rackready.io. Upon receiving your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days, subject to the retention requirements described in Section 6 above. Account deletion does not entitle you to a refund of any payments previously made.
7.3 Email Communications
You may not opt out of transactional emails related to your account (such as purchase receipts, password resets, and Terms of Service updates), as these are necessary for the operation of your account. If we introduce marketing or promotional emails in the future, you will have the ability to opt out of those communications.
7.4 Do Not Track
Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, the Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if a uniform standard is established.
8. State-Specific Privacy Rights
8.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use,
disclose, and sell
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal
information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
RackReady does not sell your personal information. RackReady does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rackready.io. We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within forty-five (45) days.
8.2 Other State Privacy Laws
Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port their personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@rackready.io. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@rackready.io.
10. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States.
11. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by RackReady. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account and/or by posting a prominent notice on the Platform. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the most recent revisions were made.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you must stop using the Platform and may request account deletion.
